Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Radiation Safety issues dosimeters to monitor radiation exposure to individuals working with radioactive materials and radiation producing machines in accordance with federal and state requirements.
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is an administrative unit that assists University units in meeting their responsibility to protect the environment and to provide a safe and healthful place for employment and learning.
EH&S employs about 100 people who are spread across the UW Seattle campus in multiple locations.

The University of Washington Radiation Safety Committee Charter has been reviewed and is endorsed by the Chief of Staff & Chief Administrative Officer of the Executive Office of the President & Provost and the Chair of the Radiation Safety Committee.
