Lockout Tagout Hands-On
Intended audience
This course is required for University personnel who conduct maintenance or repair work on or around de-energized systems such as electricians, plumbers, or heating ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC). Retraining is required when there are changes in job assignment or energy control procedures, when changes in equipment or processes present a new hazard, or as determined by a supervisor.
Description
This course teaches proper lockout tagout procedures, which workers are authorized to perform those procedures, and the special provisions of lockout tagout programs.
Personnel who lack authorization to work on de-energized systems but work in areas where energy control procedures are used are required to complete the Lockout Tagout Awareness Online course instead.
