Intended audience

This course is recommended for University personnel using overhead and gantry cranes and hoists to lift and move loads.

Description

This course teaches fundamentals of overhead and gantry crane safety, including the characteristics of overhead and gantry cranes, the requirements and procedures for inspecting the equipment, proper pre-planning procedures, and how to safely lift and move a load. Qualified crane operators are required to take Overhead Crane Operator Training.
