Intended Audience

This course is required for University personnel who load, secure, and transport cargo on commercial motor vehicles. Retraining is required every three years.

This course is recommended for University personnel who load, secure, and transport cargo using UW owned or leased motor vehicles.

Description

This course teaches the essentials of securing loads and cargo for safe transport. It covers the North American Cargo Securement Standard, approved securement systems, and best practices for loading and transporting cargo. Participants will learn about regulatory requirements, inspection procedures, and specific cargo considerations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance during highway transit.
